Does HubSpot offer discounts? Yes! But, it isn't as easy as just tossing in a promo code at checkout. Read to find out how you can save a ton of dough on this powerful revenue suite.

Understanding HubSpot Pricing and Discount Potential

HubSpot offers a variety of pricing options for their platform, depending on the specific needs of your business. You can even get a ton of features for free, which is how I ran my business for over a year. If you're just getting started and need a free website and CRM, that's absolutely a path you should pursue.

For businesses in need some more power, a better website, marketing tools, sales tools, even tools for account management and payments, you're probably going to need to pay for some of the power features HubSpot offers.

In general, HubSpot pricing is based on:

  • The Hubs you plan to use
  • The number of contacts you plan to market to
  • The number of users with paid seats you plan to bring into the platform

Like any tool, there are bulk discounts. The more Hubs/paid seats/marketing contacts you need, the bigger percentage HubSpot sales will apply. There are also discounts for longer annual commitments.

But if you're not in need of the Enterprise Suite or Hundreds of Thousands of Marketing Contacts, your options to save money on your purchase are as follows: Work with a partner like myself, check out the HubSpot for Startups program, wait until the end of the quarter, or press your luck for an occasional promotion.

Partner Programs: Leveraging Discounts Through HubSpot Partners

One effective way to access discounts when purchasing HubSpot is by leveraging their partner programs. HubSpot has a vast network of partners, including agencies and consultants, who can provide valuable services and offer discounted pricing.

When you work with a HubSpot partner, you not only gain access to their expertise but also the potential to receive discounted rates on HubSpot software. Partners often have special arrangements with HubSpot that allow them to offer discounted pricing to their clients.

To take advantage of these discounts, contact me and we can discuss your needs, then work with HubSpot on the right pricing and implementation plan.

It's also important to remember that HubSpot now charges for onboarding. HubSpot-led onboarding is useful but very much user-driven; that is to say, they'll send you guidelines and you're going to do most of the work. Working with a partner will waive HubSpot's fee. And while the partner will still charge for onboarding, it'll be a much more collaborative, useful experience for your company.

HubSpot for Startups: Unlocking Special Discounts for New Businesses

If you're a new business or startup, HubSpot offers a program specifically designed to support your growth. HubSpot for Startups provides access to their powerful software at a discounted rate, helping you kickstart your marketing and sales efforts.

To qualify for HubSpot for Startups, you'll typically need to meet certain criteria, such as being a member of a recognized startup accelerator or having received funding from specific venture capital firms. Once approved, you can enjoy significant discounts on HubSpot's software for a predetermined period.

By leveraging HubSpot for Startups, you not only save on your initial purchase but also gain access to valuable resources and guidance specifically tailored to startups. It's an excellent opportunity to grow your business while keeping costs under control.

HubSpot has a similar program for non-profits, as well.

Timing is Everything: Capitalizing on End-of-Quarter Discounts

Timing can play a crucial role in securing discounts on your HubSpot purchase. Like many businesses, HubSpot operates on quarterly sales targets and goals. As the end of each quarter approaches, they may offer additional incentives and discounts to meet those targets.

If you have some flexibility in your purchasing timeline, it can be beneficial to wait until the end of a quarter to make your HubSpot purchase. By doing so, you increase your chances of accessing special discounts or promotions that may be available during this period.

Be polite, of course. End of Quarter is stressful on all sales teams!

Season Promotions and Random Discounts

Sometimes you get lucky and run into a promotion. As mentioned, I was on the free plan for a year but then I started seeing a promotional offer in my inbox and on the HubSpot website. Due to a combination of my business size and needs, I got a Starter package with a couple sales ad service pro licenses, CMS, and 1,000 marketing contacts for super cheap.

Additional Tips and Tricks for Maximizing HubSpot Savings

One final note - when searching for HubSpot discounts, you'll run into a lot of sites that offer software discounts and deals. While they make them sound great, many of these same offers are available on HubSpot's site without having to hand over your information to a discount site (who will be happy to share your email out with a few friends).

In addition to the strategies mentioned above, there are a few more tips and tricks you can use to maximize your savings on HubSpot:

1. Consider bundling: HubSpot offers various software tools and features. Bundling multiple products or services together can often result in additional discounts or special pricing.

2. Negotiate: Don't be afraid to negotiate with HubSpot or their partners. Depending on your business needs and circumstances, you may be able to secure custom pricing or additional discounts. Just ask!

3. Attend HubSpot events: HubSpot organizes events, conferences, and webinars throughout the year. These events often provide opportunities to learn about new features, connect with experts, and access exclusive discounts.

By implementing these additional tips and tricks, you can further optimize your HubSpot purchase and ensure you're getting the best possible deal.
